Angel RochaHead Coach
Coach Rocha is a graduate from Tatum High and received his college degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, majoring in English and Spanish. Coach Rocha is our Head Boys Soccer Coach at Pine Tree as well as assists with the defensive line in football. Coach Rocha has been coaching since 2008. He spent four years at Grace Community as a Varsity Defensive Line coach and Assistant Varsity Boys soccer coach, before returning to coach at his alma mater to become the boys Head Soccer coach. At Tatum, he helped build the program and lead it to its UIL berth as well as helping the program reach the playoffs every year. jrocha@ptisd.org |
Alejandro CastilloAlejandro Castillo is a Pine Tree alumnus; he graduated with the class of 2016. He continued his education in Paris Junior College for one year and then transferred to Jacksonville College, where he received his Associate’s Degree; Castillo played NJCAA soccer in both institutions and his team qualified to the National Championship play-offs in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 season respectively. In the fall of 2018, Alejandro Castillo joined the coaching staff of the Men’s Soccer Team in The University of Texas at Tyler and completed his stay in the Spring of 2020. Castillo graduated from UT Tyler in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Education. Today, he has returned to his alma mater and is now invested in the future generations of Pine Tree, as a Spanish teacher and as the assistant coach for boy’s soccer.

Alex BarronAlex Barron is a 2006 New Diana Graduate. Coach Barron and his wife Dulce have a 10 year old daughter named Aliya. From Longview, TX, he attended Pine Tree from pre-K to 11th grade. While at New Diana, he was 1st Team All-State, All East Texas, and All-District Kicker in 2005. He still holds the class 2A Texas State record for the longest field goal at 57 yards. Coach Barron attended UT Arlington, majoring in Kinesiology. He played 5 seasons of professional arena football for the Texas Rattlers, Mesquite Wranglers, and Texas Revolution. This year will be his 4th year as football special teams coach, assistant soccer, and head goalie coach.
